Mozambican President Armando Guebuza has said he is quite willing to speak with Afonso Dhlakama, leader of the former rebel movement Renamo, but will not negotiate changes to the law with him.
Speaking to the Mozambican reporters who accompanied him to the SADC (Southern African Development Community) summit in Pretoria, Guebuza said "The leader of Renamo is a political leader in our country, he's a Mozambican citizen. If he wants to speak with me, he can do so. I have no problem about him peaking with me".
