USA sells arms to Saudi Arabia

President Bush, on his first visit to this oil-rich kingdom, delivered a major arms sale Monday to a major ally in a region where the U.S. casts neighboring Iran as a menace to stability.

The administration was notifying Congress of its intent to sell $20 billion in weapons, including precision-guided bombs, to the Saudis. It is "a pretty big package, lots of pieces," national security adviser Stephen Hadley told reporters on Air Force One.

After high school, Obama moved to Los Angeles, where he studied at Occidental College for two years. He then transferred to Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations. Obama received his B.A. degree in 1983, then worked at Business International Corporation before moving to Chicago to take a job as a community organizer. As Director of the Developing Communities Project, he worked with low-income residents in Chicago's Roseland community and the Altgeld Gardens public housing development. He entered Harvard Law School in 1988. In 1990, The New York Times reported his election as the Harvard Law Review's "first black president in its 104-year history". He completed his J.D. degree magna cum laude in 1991. On returning to Chicago, Obama directed a voter registration drive. As an associate attorney with Miner, Barnhill & Galland from 1993 to 1996, he represented community organizers, discrimination claims, and voting rights cases. He was a lecturer of constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1993 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004.

I have recently bcome nspired 2 actually paint on canvas…never done that b4. Some of u my recall that I have done da “face” drawing b4, just like the pic b-low, with a black Sharpe on a wall.
It was 1 of those drawings 2 c if I could really do it, not 2 my surprise it came out just like I had planed. Needless 2 say, I was not able 2 cut the wall out and take my art work with me.
So this time it will b portable art on canvas. P.S. the pic b-low is not my painting rendition, but I plan 2 do the xtact same thing. I will keep all posted on my progress!

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination was her own fault, the country's president, Pervez Musharraf, said in an interview on U.S. television.

Musharraf, who seized power in a bloodless coup in 1999, rejected criticism that his government did not do enough to provide security to Bhutto, who was seeking to regain the post of prime minister. He noted that she had already survived one assassination attempt and "was given more security than any other person."

Bhutto was the first woman elected to lead a Muslim state,[1] having twice been Prime Minister of Pakistan (1988–1990; 1993–1996).

For those of us who learned from our mistakes, correct them and sow a seed. For those of us who didn’t, you know better than anyone else, you better take heed, and that goes for me. We gotta make moves again this year. It’s the “Year of the Tiger.” Plan your work and work your plan with your own (Black) hands. Have faith in your plan. 2007 was the end of one chapter and the preface for several others to come. If you haven’t been reading like you want 2, free some time, and don’t worry, the train of thought is deeply embedded. Stick to the script.

History of Hashish and Ancient Warrior Assassins

The name "assassin" is commonly believed to be a mutation of the Arabic "haššāšīn" (حشّاشين). However, there are those who dispute this etymology, arguing that it originates from Marco Polo's account of his visit to Alamut in 1273, in which he describes a drug whose effects were used against enemies.

Middle Ages the word "Hashshashin" had become a common synonym for "outlaws". So the attribution of Hassan's Ismaili sect with this term is not necessarily a clue for drug usage. Some common accounts of their connection with hashish are that these "assassins" would take hashish before missions in order to calm themselves; others say that it helped to boost their strength, and turned them into madmen in battle. Yet other accounts state it was used in their initiation rites in order to show the neophyte the sensual pleasures awaiting him in the afterlife. The connection between their mysticism and that drug is not something subject to reliable or consistent historical accounts; this is not surprising given their secrecy and infamy. The word Hashish (of probable Arabic origin) refers to resin collected from cannabis flowers. This could be the true drug of the Assassins as described by Marco Polo. Important to remember, however, is that both alcohol and narcotics such as cannabis are "Haram," or strictly prohibited, by most schools of Islam. Therefore, it is possible that the label or attribution of Hashshashin to drug use was to portray them negatively. As they conceived of themselves as political and religious revolutionaries, and were considered a danger to the status quo of Crusader Age Persia and Arabia, it would make sense that many would attempt to discredit them.

Take any offensive word such as bad, ugly, thug, and pimp. Webster’s dictionary would describe these words as distasteful or rude behavior. So how can these words often used to describe negative things be used in a positive way? In rap lyrics, pimp can be used as a word to describe not only the exploitations of women for money, but also as a word to describe how hard one hustles, or easily makes money. We also heard the “n” word being used not as a sign of disrespect but a term of endearment. According to author Ra Un Nefer Amen (now Shekem Ur Shekem) and current king of the Agogo state of Ghana, West Africa, states in his book “Metu Neter” that African Americans can be linked with the ancestry of the ancient Egyptians. They were a predominately right brained thinking people who used many abstract ideologies and symbols as a way of life. In the book, those same Egyptians, some called “Ausarians” would use words that had double meanings equivalent to the language of African Americans of today.

The new Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe movie has been released and many of you have already seen it on one of the clearest bootleg DVDs of the year(next to 300). The movie has been getting both good and critical reviews, for its violent content and portrayal of one of Harlems notorious heroin dealers who made millions from smuggling drugs on military airplanes from southeast Asia. The important factor of this movie is that the bad guys never win completely and that the real gangsters are the policemen and military officials who collaborate with drug dealers. From the 60s to the 21st century this business venture has never stopped and nor does it see any decline in drug abuse in America or worldwide. Since the so called "war on terrorism" the Afghan heroin trade has seen a 90% increase in production! Who wil be in the next American Gangster movie 10 years from now?

Sneaker Pimps Exhibit-NYC

Imagine NAS, EPMD, Slick Rick and a room filled with b-boys, skateboard ramps and sneaker displays! The Sneaker Pimps exhibit ended its world tour in the birthpalce of Hip Hop. The exhibit stopped in Tokyo, China, L.A. and other cities I dont know. The vibes were crazy and NYC was definatly representing for NAS as he jumped in the crowd and gave an all star performance. The month of OCtober was crazy busy for us as we traveld from city to city making moves. Check the pics!

African Martial Arts Conference--- Detroit

We recently got a chance to go to the African Martial Arts Conference in Detroit and meet many legends who shared knowledge and awesome stories. The people came from all over teh world to be there and learn more about the ancient fighting systems from Africa. Capoeira, Kupigana Ngumi, Silat, Zulu Stickfighting, Jiu jitsu, Nubian Wrestling and much more. Abraham Hardy from H.C.W. was there to represent for the young upcoming martial arts masters and even did an interview for Stic.man from dead prez'z new documentary titled "The Way of the Black Fist"!
